From a tall aluminum can, this one is nearly black in color...just a bit of reddish hues when held to a strong light. The head is slim and tan, but quickly fades to nothing. The aroma has an intense chocolate note....it's a mix of baking chocolate and milk chocolate smells. The taste is sweet, although not as forward as I expected. The chocolate notes are balanced with some roasted flavors and a strong alcohol warms. There is also enough bitterness to make it interesting. Lingering chocolate finish. Full in body and surprisingly drinkable for a beer this big and sweet.

Black in color with minimal light penetration. There’s a fingernail of brown around the rim. The aroma is of lactose and milk chocolate. I’m tasting milk chocolate, alcohol, and lactose. The mouth is boozy and faintly gritty.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at The brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured an opaque dark with very thin ecru ring head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had subtle cocoa notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle milk chocolate presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with smooth carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

16oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sticky rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of sweet chocolate, creamy milk, toffee and some caramel. Nice, rich milk chocolate taste with vanilla, toffee, caramel and a mild bitterness.
