With a smooth, creamy texture and notes of roasted barley and chocolate malt, Irish Stout is built upon a base of two-row barley supplemented by caramel and Vienna malts and flaked oats with just enough bittering hops giving balance to our ode to the Irish brewing tradition. Irish Stout is nitrogenated to provide a silky smooth mouthfeel.

Black in color with no light penetration. There’s a half inch of densely packed creamy brown. Heavy soapy lacing. The aroma is of dark malt and chocolate. I’m tasting chocolate and dark malt. The mouth is exceptionally smooth and creamy.

4 Hands Brewery’s Nitro Irish Stout is comparable to Guinness (hence its name). Its pours beautifully witha thick foamy light tan head. The flavor is not as complex or as heavy as a porter. It’s mild, with very subtle meaty, savory undertones… pleasantly reminiscent of beef jerky. If you like Guinness you can’t go wrong with this one.

On nitro at ITap CoMo. Poured a thick, black color with a foamy, perfect nitro head of khaki foam. It left thick sudsy sheets of foam. It smelled of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and toffee. Sweet chocolate and toffee taste with rich malt and roasted coffee.
