Served dark, mahogany brown in a thin but tall tulip with a good finger of browned head that looks like burnt marshmallow - brown on the edges, white in the center.
Nose is burnt and malty, complex but balanced. Really well brewed, with good attenuation. I was easily able to put away three of these, but they were quite potent when I stood up.
Solid, chewy mouthfeel, but again, well attenuated to maintain drinkability. Not watery like many Mexican stouts, but good and thick while still staying smooth. Good flavor, easy to drink, potent without being off-putting. Not headed for the BA Top 100 but a damn fine Mexican microbrew that deserves more attention.
