Joy is a fermentation of the second runnings from The Pride. On-tap at the brewery in a shaker pint, the beer is a muddled brown coloring, opaque, with no head. Nose of muted roasted caramel, subtle cinnamon spice, and tangy crème. Flavors are roasted and caramel forward, but not much else. There are some subtle vanilla and citrus notes, but extremely weak. Light, watery body, with a limp, sweet caramel aftertaste. The finish is slick and light. This one really lacks any type of body or feel. 2nd run beers are tough.
