Had on draft at Off the Square in Albemarle, NC, 4/23/19
Look: A very distinct pink color to go right along with the namesake (also love the Flaming Lips shoutout). It brings to mind what you think of lighter sours and fruit beers.
Smell: I get more floral notes than the raspberry or blackberries advertised, which in turn is a little disappointing but it still smells decent. Best way to say it is it has that “refreshing” quality to it.
Taste: Maybe my palate has changed but this beer taste way different than it did at the brewery about 4 or 5 years ago. Could be I’ve had way better sours since then or it’s the kettle souring process (which I’m not a big fan of). I get tastes of raspberry upfront, with an immediate hit of wheat which comes with some of the lighter sours I’ve had.
Feel: With less of that “puck” taste I get with major sours, this one hits more with the carbonation and slightly thin taste. Despite that, for the summer season coming, this would make for a great alternative to the session IPA crowd.
Overall: I like this beer for what it is. It’s a light, crisp sour lite option to the more big bads out there. Not something I’d seek out but I wouldn’t be mad to have this to kill on a hot day.

Look- Opaque pink/red. Very much like strawberry juice. 1/2 inch stark white head that dissipates in a few minutes.
Smell- An attractive florality with the blackberry coming through. Not much of the raspberry in the smell.
Taste- Probably below average sourness, making it super crushable. the raspberry really stands out here. It has an unexpected biscuit/bread finish, doesn’t detract from the experience but I probably wouldn’t miss it in this style.
Feel- Light, crisp and tangy. Feels almost sparkling like certain ciders.
Overall- I love this beer. Like, a lot. It is intensely tasty, welcoming of the spring season, and an easy entry level sour. Everyone should have this beer.
