Looks like Birdsong may have redone this recipe. ABV is a little higher than the previous version. Appearance is close to black with a nice aroma of citrus, pine, and roasted malts. Taste was similar. Finish was nice and cry but the body was a little thin. Not a bad black IPA but could use a little more hop flavor and body.

I've bought four (4) 64oz growlers of this now and I'm going to buy one a week until they're out. Hoping this will become a year-rounder. DARK brown. Dark Cascadian Ale. Piney. Hoppy. Tan head. Rich mouth feel. Not light - it has some heft. Birdsong' s BEST beer. I hope they realize it.
It's actually 6.9%abv.
