Formerly known as "No Quarter Porter". New name, same delicious Porter! Our Wake Up Porter is an irresistibly smooth brew with locally roasted coffee and fresh vanilla beans. We use Central Coffee Co.’s Sumatra Lintong coffee and carefully chosen specialty malts to create a warm foundation and light body. Madagascar vanilla beans lend a subtle sweetness on the finish that you’ll notice at the end of every velvety sip.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a New Belgium Globe glass
Pours dark brown with about three fingers worth of thick, dark tan head that recedes very quickly, leaving behind very little lacing.
The aroma is coffee, roasted malts, chocolate, and toffee.
The flavor is mainly coffee and chocolate, with notes of roasted malts, and caramel/toffee. I really am not getting the vanilla that everyone else seems to be getting. Medium bodied and moderately carbonated.
Overall, the beer is quite good

On tap in a 20 ounce mug.
Dark brown, not quite opaque, color. The cap is khaki tan and hangs around as a rim. Pretty good web lacing.
Great smell of fresh black coffee. A mild roast and mix of caramel and English toffee.
Lightly sweetened black coffee flavor with a little bit of vanilla. Coffee grind at the bottom of the cup finish.
Light bodied, smooth and easy. The sugar and coffee grinds mix nicely.
Very much coffee driven, yet a good brew.

Dark brown in color with minimal light penetration. There’s a fingernail of of creamy beige on top. The aroma is of bitter roasted coffee. I’m tasting bitter roasted coffee. The mouth is dry and moderately carbonated.

Cola brown with two fingers of creamy-looking dark khaki head. Great retention and solid lacing.
Breakfast roast coffee, roasted malts and a hint of vanilla in the nose.
Vanilla shows up front in the taste, and almost gives the thing a milk stout impression at first. Roasted malts and coffee strike second, with lightly acerbic coffee bitterness lingering into the aftertaste.
Light bodied and smooth, with moderate carbonation, all appropriate to the style.
The toast on the coffee and the vanilla meld together very nicely in this one, and the fact that it’s a porter rather than and imperial stout keeps it nice and drinkable.

16 oz can with a 21 August 2020 canning date stamp on the bottom ($2.99 from the Wall of Beer in Clemson SC). Revisited on March 2, 2023 with a 12/2022 can.
Served in a Belgian snifter where it displayed a very weak, thin head on both occasions, along with some sediment.
Aroma. Black coffee and vanilla with the less obvious porter base also showing.
Flavor. A well balanced mix of coffee, vanilla and a mainstream porter. Both coffee and vanilla are less pronounced than the aroma suggests.
Feel. Medium+ body with medium-light carbonation.

Head retention nonexistent, nose virtually not there, but taste was very good, lots of coffee, not sure why it was not more present in the nose.

Nearly opaque cola-y brown with a thin khaki head. Very limited active carbonation. Smells of limited coffee, but not heavily roasted; a bit of malt sweetness. Taste is phenomenal. You get perfectly balanced roasted coffee but also creaminess.

This is a delightfully yummy coffee beer. Smells strong of coffee and tastes equally of the dark bean and sweet maltiness. I'm quite happy with this find which was on the discount shelf. I would definitely purchase this beer again.
