L- Quite light amber, pours with a hint of haze (minor sediment left @ bottle). Pours with 1cm white head, now down to 3mm. 2-3mm holds well and forms lacing going down.
S- It's getting on and my nose has lost it's edge, here I just get some rich fruit, tho hard to divine more. ... apricot...??
T+F - Yes, I see the fruit note again and more clearly, hard to pin down. It comes with a pretty solid malty richness, and mildy hoppy-dry+CO2 zing on the palate into the finish.
O- I like it, it's very polished. Zero concerns here; 0.00. Big yet 'quietly spoken', no risk of being over-bearing. No shouty high-ABV% sense slamming my palate. I'd happily buy this one again.
330ml bottle BB: 26/04/2022. Bought from BeersOfEurope/UK for home delivery.

Pours a cloudy yellow colour with sediment and a small white head. Aromas of coriander, spice, apple, yeast & alcohol. Tastes of spice, apple, coriander, caramel & malt leading to a spicey caramel alcoholic aftertaste.

Bottle from Tres Bonne Cuisine. Braced for the worst as I discovered the bottle was dated from 2011 (Lot 09218/1), tons of sediment. Pleasantly surprised as its held up well. I didn't think tripels aged at all. Cloudy orange golden body with soft creamy head, fine carbonation. Aroma is a bit musty, but not entirely off. Taste is bit funky and slightly sour, as the yeast has definitely passed its prime. A pretty good tripel is detectable in there though, in its prime, this probably would have been pretty good.

A fresh 750ML bottle 9 months before its best by date. A: Hazy copper gold, thin white foam collar, thin specs of lace. S: Bread and alcohol, peach to pineapple, perfumey T: Tropical fruit, light bread, slight over ripe fruit, faint spice, mild hop accent on the finish. M: creamy texture, surprisingly light bodied, medium high carbonation O: Somewhat thin for a tripel.

I picked this up somewhere in Brussels -one of the corner shops, enjoyed chilled in a tulip from the 330cl bottle.

The color is hazed golden with 3 fingers of head that holds well with avg sized bead and visibly carbonated with thick lace. The smell is fragrant with yeast aroma that is supported by a light woody hop scent and mild sweet almost floral odor with gentle fruity tropical aspect from the yeast with subtle nutty and banana-like aromas. The feel is very good with semi-sweet entry with light bitterness and medium carbonation level with slight spiced middle and dry lightly alcohol textured finish.

The taste of this tripel has mild fruit and slight caramel type sweetness with malt and candy sugar cohesive taste perhaps with a woodiness and spice from the hops carrying through in the taste with mild hint of dark sugar and light alcohol as it finishes dry. Overall this is a very good tripel I wish I could find stateside as it is very subtle with alcohol and the sweetness in the taste is restrained-very drinkable for the style.

Pours a pale yellow that is brilliantly clear with a big, rocky white head.

Smells of pear, apple, some bready sweetness, sugar, and bright yeast character...no real hop character comes through.

Up front apple taste, almost champagne, that morphs into a boozy, pear/apple middle, and ends on a slightly bitter yet still tart and crisp finish. The alcohol really stands out as there isn't much else going on in this other than some estery notes. Not bad, not great.

Lighter to medium body with medium carbonation. Not enough carbonation for my tastes. Alcohol is far too apparent.

This is a one note pear/apple kick that is quite champagne like. Some yeast complexity comes through but the lack of anything else leaves the alcohol too open. A triple that misses a lot of things that make the style great.

11.2 oz bottle pours a fairly hazed gold color with a massive cap of white head. Fades slowly and leaves a decent amount of lace. Best by date of 2012/05/07, looks like I got a pretty fresh one here, assuming the bbd is 1 year from bottling.

Nose is heavily influenced by the yeast...bready as hell with plenty of tropical and medium-dark fruits. More funkily aromatic than most tripels, lets see if that is a good thing...

Yes it is. Lots of sweetness, light...lighter than grainy even. Lets go with marshmallow cream-like sweetness. Biting carbonation and alcohol flavors keep this from being cloying though. A little bit of hop presence is noted, which is appreciated. This tripel is a little more 'funky' tasting than most, certainly will never be considered clean but without brett and bugs it is not a bad funkdified showing. The abbey yeast is strong in this one, young jedi. At this point I am rambling, but I would say with certainty this is worth a try if you like the tripel style. Better than just good, but does not quite crack the very good status.

A - I have poured my glass twice. First, it was pretty clean gold, but when I poured the second half of the bottle, it was hazy orange with nice head
S - nice buttery aroma with citruses, grapes, yeast and malt
T - too much going on here! earthiness, yeast, malt, peppery, fruits. Alcohol is not so hidden, however pretty good on the high ABV
M - medium to high carbonation with full body
D - drinkable, but very full and heavy, so the best to the end of the day or after nice dinner

Appearance : golden color, with white foamy head.
Smell : yeasty and hoppy aromas.
Taste and mouthfeel : malted (hazelnut ?), with notes of yeast and alcohol.
Drinkability : a good beer in the style Belgian Tripel.

My buddie's (Pipmeister) grilfriend brought this back from Belgium.

Pours a nice amberish saison yellow with a nice frothy white head. Nice lacing.

Smells spicy almost like a saison.

Tastes more like a saison. Like an extra malty one. It is pretty light for a tripel. Not enough yeastyness.

Mouthfeel is good. Good carb. Nice maltiness.

Overall an easy drinking beer but I don't this k I will seek this one out.

Picked up a single at Abe's Cold Beer for $3.25. I figured that was a fair price for a random triple. This beer however, wasn't terribly impressive. Sure, it was smooth and drinkable, but the flavor fell flat. There was a sweet bready malt profile with a hit of vanilla spice, but that's really it. No spicy hops or significant fruit. Not really worth trying for the price.

This Belgian pours a thick, grainy orange, taking on the look and consistency of a grapefruit, with much sediment and a considerably murky visage. It is quite inviting and looks like it'll be a pretty hearty ale.

It bursts with the sharp and sour aroma of citrus fruit and the smell is reminiscent of a stronger doppelbock or more alcoholic lambic. This strength is also prevalent in the taste, which is quite bitter and not unlike an orange rind.

The taste hits the palate hard, matching the roughness of a beer like Ruination without the hoppiness or flavor. It really focuses on the tart aspects of citrus fruit without adding any lighter qualities, which is different for a tripel, but that doesn't mean a touch of sweetness wouldn't have helped balance this beer out a bit.

11.2 Oz bottle

I had some difficulty appreciating the beer due to the carbonation. The overzesty flavor felt chemical and blurred some of my taste buds.

I bleed some of the carbonation off, and it became more tasty yet lacked a true depth of flavor.
