Pours pale yelllow with a modest white head on top. The smell is light and orangey with a bit of a floral edge, reminds me a bit of Whitsun here.
Flavour is a basic wheat / malt base with a light orange zest flavour on top which is quite pronounced. Crisp finish.
The mouthfeel on this is exactly what one would expect for the style, while the drinkability is good, not a difficult beer to throw back.
The bottom line: Nothing worth going exceptionally far out of your way for, but Harper's White Lager is a great example of an American Summer wheat beer. Good orange presence, and a very sessionable beer. Definitely worth a growler fill.
