Sampled on draft at the brewery. Goes under the name of "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" now, apparently as a late summer/fall seasonal.

Poured into a plastic cup, body is a deep chestnut brown with a bit of creamy tan head that quickly settles into a thin ring. Aroma of roasted dark malt and wheat, along with some notes of chocolate and roasted nuts.

Palate is big on sweet, dark, roasted malt up front. A nice nutty character and some burnt cocoa bean come through mid-palate, but flavors seem to fade on the finish.

Body is a bit thin for a porter, but given that it's brewed with wheat, I'd expect it to be lighter. That's bot a bad thing for a summer beer. Credit where credit's due, this is a solid offering from a brewery I wasn't expecting much from.

On tap 7/24, standard pint glass (had to request glass over plastic :( ) pours a deep brown almost black, slight reddish, head fades quickly

smells of chocolate malts, light wheat, slight hops, smells good

tastes heaviest of chocolate malts, wheat is balanced in nice and light but still there, for a porter this is a nice refreshing take, Nice choice of complimenting hops, the roastiness is present but light - in a good way, nice.

mouthfeel is good but way thinner than i would think for most porters, texture and complimenting flavors are nice indeed - sessionable and refreshing.
