On tap at the Fränkisches Bierfest. It pours a slightly cloudy gold, crowned with a fine, lacy head that invites you in. The aroma reveals layers of cereal grains and roasted nuts. On the palate, the moderate carbonation and medium body provide a pleasant structure, delivering flavors of dried fruit and delicate floral notes. The finish is crisp and remarkably balanced, rounding out the experience with finesse. I can appreciate the finer points of this beer.

Pours an unfiltered, amber to golden color with a big, lasting head of foam.
Smells of fresh crushed grains, old leaves and a lighter note of slightly wooden toffee among subtle lime zest and floral rose garden.
Drinks soft with an unforseen lower, yet very fitting carbonation level, which offers a late, thirst quenching effervescence, while providing a pleasant smoothness.
Tastes of whole grain bread and leafy to herbal hops adding an interesting, bitter punch to otherwise honey sweet appearing caramel malts. Has a softer mid palate with a soothing dough quality and lingering, dry noble hops among toasty hazelnuts. Finishes almost a bit dusty, yeasty, with a bitter aftertaste among light and creamy malts, which create an exhilarating crispness.
This is a great Lager with a powerful hop showcase, which is put well into action by unfolding a sudden bite in the finish, after it soothed the malts almost the whole time.
