Pours an unfiltered orangeish gold with a white head and lace. The aroma has alot of wine characteristics with sour grapes, must, apples, white wine, sourness and a touch floral.
In the taste, more grapes, wine must, Gueze lambic flavor, big wine notes and just a hint of sour apple. Funky yeast lends a dusty character to the dry, oaky tones. Malty In a way yet there is no hint of the 12.2% abv. This drinks effortlessly.
Overall, this is a must try sour ale if that's your thing and you're around the burgh. It's a twice blended lambic style ale brewed with apples and wine must. Brewed in small batches, and hard to find, it is worth investigating.
