Pours a light hazy tan color, lighter than you would expect from a chocolate Belgian inspired pumpkin ale. The aroma has a lot of cocoa powder, yeast phenols and pie crust. Biscuit malts are employed in large quantity to add the dough character to the pumpkin and cocoa accents. A bit of funky Belgian yeast adds another wrinkle. Alcohol is completely disguised as is true with just about all Draai Laag offerings. The body is lighter and has a soft carbonation. Overall this was a very unique pumpkin ale, I haven't had anything quite like it.
