500 ml bottle
Pours a hazy orange red, hint of off-white lacing is the only head.
Smells of sour grape and apple, orange rind, orange citrus, and a mix of floral and citrus hoppiness.
Flavor is of green apple, apple cider tartness, orange zest and orange citrus juice, some cracker malt and a grapefruit hop finish.
Light to medium body, tangy acidity stings the tongue a bit and entices a pucker, minimal carbonation on the tongue.
Par for the course for Draai Laag, and unique and above average American take on the Flemish approach to sour ales. Not my favorite from them, but pretty good and as a one-off, a nice treat. I missed the first in this series but will hopefully get my hands on future entries.
