pliny style 500 ml bottle
a- looks good! dark cola colored beer, super bubbly
s- woa i guess i was expecting something stouty, this guy has some bugs! nice sourness coming though on the nose, i hint oak, nice smokiness in the finish
t- this guy packs some flavor! i first get all types of styles going through my head, smoke stout wine barreled maybe? definitly some smoke, sourness wore off, nice oakiness
m- is thick big bodied beer, for style
o- my thought blind was a smoked porter aged in wine barrels maybe? in fact after the reveal it still tasted like a smoked porter in wine barrels. i liked it

Not usually a vise fan and have a hard time saying this is true to the style but I enjoyed it. All the salt comes naturally from the caviar and seaweed and wasn't over briny.
Dark brown with ruby hu
Fig, rye bread, brine and funk on the nose
Taste is similar but with a briny bite at the end but on the lower end for a gose.
Low carbonation, a bit of creamy taste and moderate to full mouthfeel for the style.
Overall I wasn't sure about this one tube beer but glad I tried it!

50 cl bottle, this is billed as a black gose, brewed with oysters, sea kelp, and caviar and aged in a second use laphroaig scotch barrel.
Pours ink black, no light penetration. Head is a ring of light tan that dissipates to nothing.
Smells of citrus, fig, sourdough bread, scotch peat and brine.
Tastes of light citrus and sourdough bread malts and a bit of vinegar over briny notes. Definite "meaty" caviar flavor in there, some hints of the kelp. The scotch really comes through in the aftertaste, smokey and woody.
Medium to thin body, not much presence of carbonation. Cask-like.
This is by far the strangest beer I've had from DL yet. A really interesting mix of flavors that shouldn't really work together, but they're working pretty good for me. Still, this one is definitely a niche beer that won't appeal to everyone. Worth a try at least as a novelty.
