Poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a ruddy semi-dark purple color with a small cap of a little white foamy head quickly sliding off to barely leave any lace.
The aroma had the elderberries bold and tart with a nice sweetness to it. Subtle sour with a lemon and quaint grassy hop character.
The flavor was mildly tart with an ample sour and sweet ability of mixing the elderberries with that lemon juice and keen grassiness. The aftertaste is all about the elderberries.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Good carbonation and an infectious sour pucker strolling across my tongue. Nice finish of the elderberries, sour and tart.
Overall, it's mainly about the elderberries in this which is quite nice. It's brewed quite well and I would definitely welcome again perhaps more so in warmer weather.
