Pours a foggy muddy orange with a half finger of bubbly off-white foam. Head retention is okay. Aroma is cellar stone, lemon grass, sourdough bread, orange zest and cracked black pepper. Splendid simplicity. Flavor profile is cellar stone, lemon grass, sourdough bread, orange zest, grapefruit, cracked black pepper and bready malts. Subtle sourness to it, but not particularly twangy. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a smooth, crushed silt texture. Overall, between the lovely little twing of sourness and the delicate profile, this is a wonderfully nuanced and subtle spontaneously fermented sour ale.
