Thanks to Pinz412 for this one, from the recent NBS BIF #13. 12.68oz bottle poured into 14oz teku. Poured a cloudy pale yellow color with 1-1/2 inches of fluffy white head that had very good retention and light lacing.
Big, bold, bright funk at the front of the nose, very yeast dominant. Some grain in the background, with a bit of floral notes around the edges.
Nice tartness at the front of the tongue, floral and earthy notes in the middle, and yeast funk at the back end.
The body was crisp, light, smooth, carried good carbonation throughout, and had a very dry finish.
Drinkability was good, especially if you like wild ales, but it's a sipper, not a quaffer.
Overall, a nice and interesting brew. I don't recall ever having dandelion before, so I'm not sure if I'm picking it up in this brew. Worth trying if you see it.
