375ml bottle into a small goblet. No freshness dating that I could find. Label lists ingredients as 81.9% malted barley, 18% orange blossom honey, 0.1% aged hops. Used wild and cultured yeast, aged in maple syrup bourbon barrels.
Brewer calls it a honey beer, braggot is the closest style here.
Looks very nice, glowing honey amber body, still drink, so no head.
Honey notes and the barest whiff of the barrel.
On tasting, smooth, sweet, bourbon, initially put me in mind of mince pies and Christmas pud, fair raisin notes. Very smooth, honey and bourbon blend very well.
Mouth above medium, finish a sweet bourbon warmth. At the very end, there is a barely discernible bitter note.
Overall, nicely put together drink. Been exploring meads recently, finding them enjoyable.
