20th Anniversary Ale. Phantom Canyon's Facebook description describes this as being a “souped-up version of our Alpenglow Bavarian-style Hefeweizen weighs in at a hearty 11.6% Alcohol by Volume”.

Deep gold color with a frothy white head. Very fruity aroma; ripe musk melon. Smooth and soft wheat flavor with a powerful melon undertone with the flavor. Medium bodied; smooth, clean and semi-dry finish.

This does come across as a slightly “souped-up” heffeweizen. Banana and clove fruitiness and spiciness abound. A bit of hop bitterness and alcohol dryness and burn appear near the finish, yet remain well-tamed and relatively unobtrusive. Very tasty, very powerful. I would go so far as to say this is the wheatwine equivalent of a westcoast IPA.
