The beer arrives with a black body and a thick, creamy, tan head. The aroma presents charred grains, cocoa, vanilla, and coffee. The flavor has bitter chocolate and mocha tones with a smooth hop bitterness evening things out. Medium bodied; seems a little thin yet still has a smooth and delicately sugary mouthfeel.
An excellent stout all around. The oatmeal (7% rolled oats in the grain bill per PC's web site) really smooths things out. Nice balance with fantastic depth and complexity make every sip a pleasure.
