Shaker at the pub, Phatom Canyon's Dunkelweizen is a dark cloudy bronze with a faint, off-white skim and totally still.
Smell is very faint, sweet malt.
Taste is a timid, semi-sweet caramel malt flavor that comes across as rather generic, with a slightly toasted finish and mineral tang. I don't think I'd guess this was a wheat beer, let alone mit hefe, other then perhaps the lack of clarity - which in this case is more like turbid!
MF is average.
Drinkability was avg, like this beer, and avg amber/brown ale lacking character and overall rather blah. The last dunkelweizen I had was Ninkasi's, and it was so much better...this ones just forgettable.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
