Vienna malt is a high quality, lightly kilned specialty malt and provides a nice toasted flavor without overwhelming the delicate floral Saaz hops featured in this lager.

Dark amber body; clear; nice carbonation; fairly thick and creamy off-white head; sticky rings and fingers of foam adhere to the glass. Light aroma; malty with soft caramel tones; mildly sweet. Fine, rounded sweetness to the taste; toasty; nutty; light caramel presence; mild to moderate hop bitterness. Medium body; slick and smooth on the palate; mild warmth; semi-sweet with a light dryness at the finish.
I poured my sample from a crowler filled about three weeks ago at the brewery. Overall, this is a fine, malt-forward lager. There is no pretension here, just a fine, straightforward classic lager style.
