Northstar German Pils pours a clear, golden straw color with a white head. It offers floral, herbal and earthy aromas due to the addition of Loral hops late in the boil. The finish is dry and pleasantly bitter. A classic pils with a modern twist. Prost!

Clear, golden color; dense, small-bubble carbonation, slow-rising; decent initial head appearance, thick, white and frothy, head regresses to a smaller height yet retains all its other characteristics. Very mild malt sweetness on the nose with just a touch of mildly herbal and floral hop aroma. Very pleasant biscuit-like malt base flavor; light hop bitterness; finishes with a slightly pungent bitterness. Medium body; smooth and lightly velvety on the palate.
Despite a new hop for this 2024 edition and slightly higher ABV, the beer's impression remains much the same to me. I have no major complaints and find the beer to be easy drinking and flavorful.
+++ Late note: as the beer warmed, the pungent bitterness mellows out quite a bit, so updated my Taste score from a 3.75 to 4.0...my overall remains the same +++

No real change in the appearance although the head is a tad thicker and longer lasting. The smell remains the same. The taste has a richer, toastier malt flavor but the score doesn't change. The mouthfeel seems richer, warmer.
Like many beers poured at a bar, I think the beers are usually too cold to properly review right off. This crowler is only about a week old and certainly poured warmer than what I was served back in July of this year. In this case, it is the mouthfeel that really seemed improved, plus my overall impression has bumped up a bit.
I believe, based on the length and style of my initial review, that I had this on tap at the brewery.

Amber body; thin, creamy head. Light malt nose; earthy. Light malt body; spicy hop taste. Medium-light body; crisp and prickly on the palate.
A fair dry hopped pilsner.
