After 7 months spent in our second use Elijah Craig 14 year Bourbon Barrels, our decadent Imperial Stout has matured well. Rich flavors of cocoa, char and a hint of oak round out this gorgeous brew.

Dark brown liquid, looks black in the glass; thin, khaki colored head, creamy texture; nice sheeting inside the glass. Smell consists of dark malt char and barrel wood. Flavors of roasted grain, light chocolate, and cocoa; subliminal cherry-like sweetness; vanilla; oak; whiskey. Heavy mouthfeel; light velvet texture; light alcohol dryness; a touch of stickiness on the palate.
A very nicely balanced and complex barrel-aged stout.
