The annual release of the Oktoberfest Lager is always a special day in our brewers hearts. It signals the coming of fall, the return of the Great American Beer Fest (we’ll see you there!) and of course many steins of this smooth, malty lager with sausages and pretzels. Prost!

Dark amber, perhaps mahogany brown in color; extremely sparse carbonation; thin head, white and wispy yet lasting. Nice roasted grain scent with a dash of caramel undertones. Nice malt flavor and sweetness; somewhat spicy; a touch of roasted nuts; very light bitterness. Medium-heavy body; smooth and somewhat watery.
A fair yet unimpressive Oktoberfest beer.
