Wow, yet another review that was mysteriously deleted by the Alstrom brothers. You guys are a couple of... Wait, I better not or they will probably delete my account.
Anyway, this is a mix of their Wee Heavy, Barleywine and IPA aged on Stranahan barrels. Poured into a snifter from my growler. A nice rusty brown with a thin tan head. Has a great blend of sweet malts, oak and whiskey. Tasty stuff. Medium to full body drinks well.

From the tap, into a snifter.
Note that this is a blended ale of 50% barleywine, 25% porter, and 25% IPA, blended and aged in whiskey barrels.
Appearance:
Dark hazy brown, with ruby edges. No real head to speak of.
Smell:
Sweet and boozy. Dark fruits and spicy hops are apparent right away, and about mid-whiff you notice whiskey as well.
Taste:
The sweetness hits you along with the alcohol right away. Mild hop citrus is next, with a very balanced bitterness. The whiskey comes along next, with dark fruits and just a hint of banana, mixed in with some roast malt which serves to keep this from tasting too much like a sugar bomb.
Mouthfeel:
Thick and chewy, and definitely the kind of drink that grabs the sides of your mouth and doesn't let go.
Overall:
It's not as hoppy as a typical barleywine, but that serves me just fine, despite being kind of a hophead. The malt tastes are incredibly rich, and the flavor is incredibly complex. It's probably the best barleywine I've ever had, actually.
