Enjoyed at the brewery in a pint glass from the tap. Might be a nice one to put on cask. Pours very dark for a brown, almost black. Nose reminds me more of a porter than a brown. Molasses, dark malts and hops. Taste is biter and dark, again more like a porter. But a nice beer none the less. Pairs well with their gouda soup and a burger.

Pours a black color. 1/3 inch head of a tan color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of hops, sweet malt, and roasted malt. A very balanced aroma between malt and hops; reminds me of a good Porter. Fits the style of an American Brown Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of hops, roasted malt, sweet malt, hint of oatmeal, and slight citrus hops. Overall, good appearance, body, and blend.
