Phantom Canyon's Revival Series #19
The brew in the glass appeared tawny and sem-cloudy; brownish with a thin but long-lasting head; curtains of lacing coated the glass from top to bottom after knocking this one back. Scent exuded caramel malt. Very soft and velvety mouthfeel; dry; clean; medium-bodied. Buttery, subtle malt notes throughout with caramel malt notes (flavor?) and crystal malt (body?); with a nicely subdued and complementary hop bitterness.
This beer struck me as wonderfully smooth and flavorful; beautifully balanced and infused with subtle taste complexities. Easy drinking all the way with nary a trace of alcohol presence to mar the malt and hop components. Well-done and well-worth a pint or two...
