another overly acidic wild beer from these guys, but i really like the white grapes with the already vinous fermentation complexion, and of the handful of these we had, this was easily my favorite. really flat from the bottle, some fizziness i guess on the pour, but it holds no head at all. its as murky and drab looking as the others. aroma is awesome though, mouthwatering white grape, with notes of kumquat, kiwi, and meyer lemon, tangy bacterial sourness and some younger bretty funk, a tannic element as well. the grapes are strong in the flavor, more robust to me than either the cherry or the blood orange in those beers, skinny and tart for sure, with a stomach acid sourness rising as it warms. its definitely got a unique fermentation profile, and i dig that, but if the sourness were toned down a bit this would be really good. i wish for more carbonation too, which was a theme across much of the redchurch beer we had, especially in these styles. overall a unique sour beer, a cool use of the grapes, and something thats likely to age well, but it wasnt the sour beer that impressed me most from redchurch...
