This is listed as a 7% IPA, but in July 2020, it’s a 5.5% APA per the can. Whatever it is as a style, it’s an easy drinking, really flavorful, and bitter (VERY bitter) beer that I am really digging.
It pours a hazy (old school hazy) copper color with a slightly off-white head and has some bitter hops on the nose that are literally squashed by an almost tea-like aroma from the Carapils malt.
The bitter (and slightly dank) hops meld well with the malt on the taste. There’s grapefruit rind up front, with resiny pine bringing the hammer down on the slightly dry finish.
Totally poundable, my local whacked this outta the park.
