Pours red with a hint of purple, pleasing color. Thin layer of small bubbles Nose is cotton candy, berries, red apple. Taste is red berries, apple, jolly ranchers. Mouthfeel is a bit on the thin side, bubbles present however. Tasty beer, the smell in particular is really captivating. Thanks @ovaltine!

This beer fights to remain the golden copper color of so many DIPA’s, but relents to allow in some purplish hues with a foamy head that has a slight pinkish hue atop a body that is nearly clear. The nose has bright citrus hop notes, and raspberry and blackberry piled on top - lawdy, the raspberry and blackberry. I’m ready to chew through the glass to get at this.
The taste has the fruity hop notes, and then the raspberry and blackberry flavors swing into action, pushing the hop notes away, which isn’t a bad thing, but I think the hops could’ve balanced this the slightest bit more.
The feel is crisp and dry, which is a bit amazing - big hops, loads of fruit, but dry on the finish. A truly impressive effort by Bare Hands.

Pours a light, translucent reddish-purple, a touch lighter than my memory of Bare Hands' Red Raspberry Milkshape IPA, enjoyed on draft a week ago. Little head and a thin ring retained about the rim of the glass. Smells rich and fruity, with plenty of vanilla. However, on the palate, more of a traditional IPA hopped bitterness comes through, signaling a departure from its sibling beer, or perhaps just a less intense tart character from the blackberries. The vanilla and lactose comes through, but lightly, sweetening the mid-palate and lending a longer finish. Pleasant mouthfeel and moderately thin body.

Picked up a 4 pk from brewery when home for holidays, so glad I did. Not much background with milkshake ipa’s. Looks like a glass of ruby red grapefruit juice. Smells like muddled fruit, tastes much better than smells. Incredibly smooth with crisp finish, drinks incredibly easy for 8.1abv. One of my favorites from bare hands.

16oz can poured into shaker pint glass
The pour is red raspberry in color and fairly cloudy. Tight pink head. You can tell from the nose that this is just packed with fresh fruit. The typical hoppy IPA taste gives way to a muddled fruit blend with a ping of hops following the original fruity sweetness. Frothy smooth feel, but not overcarbed at all. My first venture into the world of milkshake IPAs. Strange style, but really enjoyable.
