Pours a beautiful hazy orange color with a dense oatmeal colored head that laces the glass very nicely. The dank citrus notes are most notable on the nose at first thanks to the ubiquitous Mosaic and Simcoe hops, and there’s also a floral, earthy note.
The dank citrus is prominent on the taste, primarily tangerine, but it’s the berry and pepper flavors that separates this hazy DIPA from the pack for me - there’s a lot going on here, but the beer is well-balanced, and especially poundable, which is dangerous given the 9.1% ABV.
The mouthfeel is on the softer side, fitting the hazy side, and works really well with this outstanding beer.
