Pours a rich copper color with red tinges and a sizzling off white head that disappears in seconds with no lacing. There may be hops buried in this beer, but the nose excludes those aromas, focusing instead on the allspice, pineapple, cherry, and orange peel.
The taste is really balanced, with the aforementioned aromas translating directly to the taste, plus a nice touch of vanilla. The mouthfeel is actually very crisp, per the IPL style. I was leery of this beer, but it actually works pretty well as a cocktail-inspired beer.
