I enjoyed this beer a lot. Maybe because it was cold outside, or maybe I just love chocolate ales, but this was a good beer. I would recommend it to anyone visiting

I sampled this brew on a recent visit to the pub in Toronto. The beer is 330 cl and arrives dark brown to black with creamy tan head of 2.5 cm. Head sticks around throughout. Aroma is malty with some coffee and some baker's chocolate or cocoa powder notes. First sip reveals an average to lite body with very mild carb and creamy/silky texture.
Flavor is fairly sweet and mild with baker's chocolate and some toffee and perhaps butterscotch as well. The beer is an easy drinker with no hint of ABV I wish the body gave a little more umph but overall this is a decent beer.

Id say one of the lesser in the otherwise solid Cest What family mix. Like its peers it has a very smooth mouthfeel and soft texture. Some thickness, but not quite enough for my likiing. Also it doesnt lend much of an aroma, and flavours are a little too timid for this style. Refreshing and well crafted like all their products, but this one just didnt really impress me.

This beer has a stout appearance, and a closer look of its colour under light reveal its light amber shade. Smooth mouthfeel, partly contributed by the subdued coffee and burnt barley flavour. A lingering "tea-tasting like" tartness is the next flavour that comes up, followed finally by an annoying acidic after taste. This brew taste like a combination of their Hemp ale and Coffee porter mixed in some proportion. I wish this ale was more bitter, which would have been nice.

Pours an opaque black/brown, some red highlights, medium thin looking tan head, no lace. Smell is roast chocolate and coffee. Taste is chocolate milk, cereal, some cherry, coffee, pretty grainy. Mouthfeel was smooth and creamy, think bodied, low carbonation. Could have been thicker and more tasty.

Pours a bit thin, resemblance of a porter. Dark body, roasty aroma, chocolate is definitely there. A little twangy, but lots of roasted flavour. Mouthfeel is a bit watery, and could definitely use a bit more body. Nonetheless, very drinkable. Takes a back seat to their coffee porter, but I'd try it at least once.

Chocalate and roast aroma, dark appearance and tan head, medium mouthfeel. Stouty and acidic bite. If going that way, then more and better hops. Good understated carbonation. Could use more malts for what it is. Even over the top on sweetness. Not very smooth but drinkable serviceable beer.
