Contract brewed for Starfish Oyster Bed & Grill by County Durham, released for St. Paddy's. Had on nitro at beerbistro.

Pours an inky black, some red in the edges, fluffy tan head with small bubbles, some spots of lace, and good retention. Smell is sweet/sour, chocolate and cherries, little licorice and roast and salt. Taste is crazy, really salty up front, then some sweet fruit, followed by roast and bitter chocolate, finished quite dry with a nice graininess. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation, very smooth. This was my first oyster stout, and the flavour at first is pretty insane and hard to comprehend, but by the end of the glass I was loving it, very nice.
