Dark chocolate color, almost like a stout. Milky, creamy, lingering head with some patchy lacing. Luscious and sweet dark fruit aroma. Moderate acid on the palate bursting with juicy plum and concord grape. Mild balsamic quality. Subtle wood character. Natural fruit derived sugar finish. Full body and well carbonated. Grainy, malty texture. Just a touch of stick on the lips. Unique and outstanding overall. Love the fruit character.

Picked this up at party source in KY for a nice $3 (they had a huge overstock sale going on). Was intrigued by the name/label.
Poured a dark cola color with a fine white lacing around the glass that disappeared a few minutes after. The aroma was not good. Almost to the point where I was kind of hesistant to take a sip. Red wine vinegar, cinnamon, smoke, and sour dark fruits. While all are good on their own, they clash pretty hard when together. The flavor on the other hand is very complex, and a LOT better than expected. Tart cherries, some smoke/spice, sweet, with a briny, almost soy sauce flavor on the back end that just seems to work. Tangy, with a lot of aged malt/dark fruit flavors. There's a sharpness on the back end similar to a Flanders red, but the malty sweetness evens it out. One of the most interesting beers that I've had. I just gave it a lower score because the aroma was way off

This one pours a dark reddish brown, almost opaque-ish, with a small white head, and no lacing.
Smells like mildly sour dark fruit (prunes, raisins, etc), some light smoke, candy sugar, cinnamon, pecan, and a nice earthy woodiness. This has a really great nose on it.
This is a really interesting beer. The amburana wood adds a really neat dimension to this, a spiced woodiness, like really good cinnamon, some nuttiness. However, the combination of sweet and smoky kinda reminds me of steak sauce. There's a slight saltiness that really enhances this illusion. It's only mildly sour, some tart prune character, but it's definitely more sweet than sour. There's definitely a sugary syrupy character to this, as well.
This is medium bodied, a little syrupy, with a lower level of carbonation.
This is a really interesting beer, but it has a few flaws.
