A nice brazilian attempt to brew a belgian beer with sugar cane.
It pours a dark reddish brown body which may look like dark amber or even purple depending on the point of view. Foam can be quiet big may leave a fine lace.
It smells quite like a belgian strong dark ale. Notes of red fruits (strawberries, cherries) and dried fruits / raisings are highlighted. Yeasty character shuold be stronger for a more complacent belgian beer. Sweetness is clearly high, it offers subtle notes of caramel, sugar cane and candy. Other subtle notes that may found are of amaretto, due especially to the ABV.
In the taste, alcohol and yeast are more evident; but the yeast does not seem belgian. Malty character is clearly below an average belgian strong ale and the feel proves it: body is not huge as it may seem.
Sweetness is way higher than bitterness, even though there's some bitterness in the feel.
