Uniting 2 national passions in one can. The base dry brown ale was then infused with a brew from fermented organic coffee beans. The beans had been carefully roasted to avoid excessive caramelization so that the coffee would have a balanced body and acidity without bitterness. The beer and coffee were matured in oak barrels previously used in the aging of cachaça.

On tap at Swillburger/The Playhouse in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a dark golden brown, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like fruity coffee, caramel, and oak.
The taste is definitely not as good as the aroma- as this has such a watery finish- the coffee flavor is really nice up front, but then it just dies. This needs a bigger body to allow the interesting flavors mentioned in the aroma to come forward more strongly.
This is so watery and quite thin, but very drinkable.
This needs a lot of work. The flavors have potential, but the body is just a mess.

A: The beer is very dark brown in color—close to being black when viewed from afar—and poured with a finger high light beige head that died down, leaving wisps of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of lightly roasted coffee beans and cold brew coffee are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, with stronger flavors of coffee and no associated acidity or bitterness. There are hints of cachaça from the barrel aging, but the coffee beans are the flavors that linger in to the finish.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and slightly watery on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a pleasant coffee brown ale that has a bit of complexity from the cachaça barrel aging.
Serving type: can
