Hazy golden color with a thick two finger head with good retention and leaving laces.
Aroma with notes of mango, grapefruit, and something different that might be the Absinthe that I recall from the Portuguese beverage I had a long time ago.
Flavor with notes of mango, spices, slightly toasted malts, onions, citrus, passion fruit, pine and Absinthe additional herbal bitterness that might come from the Absinthe. Quite dry and bitter aftertaste. Strong enough as its 68 IBUs indicates.
Medium body with appropriate carbonation.
Given the lousy label and name, I was expecting some other generic American IPA. But this is a very interesting and complex beer with the original idea to incorporate Absinthe that actually matches the style and its bold notes. They should put a proper beautiful label with inspired in the Portuguese centenary beverage.
