With the choice to start the night the Summerfoot is a lighter beer on the stomach, even with the 5.6ABV.
The color to start is a wonderfully golden brown and the visibility is of a foggy characteristic. Once poured the head is very light as like most APA's and fades into the beer after a few minutes.
The smell is AMAZING! This really got me excited about the beer. From reading the Higherground website you will really get what they want you to smell. The lemongrass and Cascade Hopps really come out from the gate. With a second and third inhale the perfect smell of summer files the nose.
With the first taste it was impressive. The lemon grass and Hopps surprisingly did not over power the rest of the flavor. Tho it seemed in the taste the the rest of the flavor was missing. I would have liked to possibility of trying to find other flavors this was a great APA.
