a: purple. it's purple. it looks like Easter egg dye. head is nothing more than a thin purple film up top
s: smell is dominated up front by roasted malts, milk and dark chocolate. some slight woody notes and cocoa powder. a touch of lactose which makes is almost smell like a hot chocolate. real nice chocolate note for the aroma
t: roasted malts, caramel, and a little oak hit you right away. milk chocolate and powdered cocoa follow. a touch of cola sweetness to close
m: low-medium mouthfeel. would like a bit more from a Porter. strong carbonation
o: a novelty beer for sure, however it has a really nice chocolate presence. for Porters, i like a bit more robustness from the roast, but this is much better than i thought it'd be given the purple color :) it's not overly sweet, but i think it's an enjoyable beer that could just use a better mouthfeel. i'm giving it a high appearance score because i know they wanted it to look purple
