Chill hazed amber with a small head. Expected a darker beer really.

Smells sweet and woody. Fainter scent of scorched sugar and melon.

Starts out sweet and savory with a bitter melon aftertaste. Seems much less bitter after the first hop shock passes from the tongue. Mostly this is sweet and woody.

Mouthfeel is OK.

Overall it is OK. Nothing here stands out.

On tap at the brewery. Deep golden to amber colour. Pleasant aroma and flavour of fruity (citrus, tropical fruits) and piney (pine needles, resin) American hops. Still fairly smooth to drink (for a DIPA). Enjoyable.

Poured outta a can. Yellow orange like every other IPA. Smell of hops and citrus. Decent head. Mouth feel is dry with low carbonation. Taste is citrusy with a hop kick. Is not that boozy for a DIPA. More West coast IPA than NE. Overall solid beer but misses the mark a little; lots of good flavor but it all doesn't coalesce perfectly.

L - pours pale and clear
S - strong hoppy smell
T - you can definitely taste the alcohol since it's a 3x IPa
F - goes down a little heavy
O - not too bad for a 3x IPA but I've had better

Tasted at Hopwater Distribution and first beer of the night. The pour was perfect, nice picture perfect look. Crisp smell and went right in for a half glass dowsing. Good taste but then came the bitter bite. Expected a bit more of a smooth taste from the DIPA but still solid and expectations were met.

Cloudy, hazy copper with little carbonation and a finger of yellow, rocky head.

Smells really dank, of fried onions, caramel, orange zest and pine. Hints of pineapple and tropical fruit as well.

Tastes of dank, tropical fruit, and a smooth but refreshing, big dull bitterness that is really balanced.

Medium body, light carbonation, and a big, dry finish.

I got this in Oregon, and am drinking in Redding, CA, Jan 8th, 2018. Surprisingly awesome brew.

Deep amber colour with a thick white head. Aroma is very hoppy with a hint of citrus. Tastes piney with a citrus undertaste and slight tropical fruit. Aftertaste is a little to bitter for my taste but what did I expect from 9.5 abv. Prost!

Pours a golden copper with decent foam, even from a half week old growler. I get a hint of citra lingering behind a piney, chewy, intensely bitter brew. All around classic west coast IPA.

A: Hop aromas of citrus, light tropical fruit, faint resin with a bit of alcohol.

A: Deep gold color, clear, with a moderate, uniform white head that quickly recedes into a thin ring around the glass.

T: Piney with a light resin and citrus hop flavors, coupled with light sweetness from caramel malts, moderate hop bitterness with a dry finish.

M: Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Hides its alcoholic strength pretty well.

O: Alright; while the beer is fairly balanced and drinks surprisingly easy for being nearly 10%, the combination of tropical fruit and pine/citrus clashes a bit.

Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Nearly clear golden amber pour with massive fluffy white head. Great retention and lacing.

S: Dank citrus and tropical fruits. Sweet light grains and honey.

T/F: Follows the nose... light grains... honey sweetness and bitter citrusy hops. Nice juicy/tropical notes... mild pineapple and melon. Super balanced... the high ABV adds to the sweetness a bit but dangerously drinkable. Well carbonated... and more tropical fruit and citrus at the finish.

O: An outstanding big DIPA. Super drinkable... dangerous ABV, and amazing flavor. Reminds me a little bit of Bells 'Hopslam'. One to seek out.

Pours a honey peach with a thick frothy head. A good looking beer. The smell is big on pineapple and mango. Big tropical notes that burst from can. Sweetness can be picked up on the nose as well. A very balanced taste that combines the tropical hops and sweet malts excellently. Smooth and very drinkable.

So I'm not fancy, and I don't think it's really necessary for us to be babbling on about the lacing, or the color, or the head, or whatever else. That stuff is irrelevant when it comes down to actually drinking a beer. Track 7 masterfully creates some of the best-tasting beers in Northern California. I'm all about local craft breweries, and Track 7 is all about making damn good beer. I always have an assortment of Track 7 brews in the fridge. Left Eye Right Eye is a phenomenal American double IPA. It's a perfect combination of bitterness, sweetness, maltiness, hoppiness... Honestly, stop wasting your time reading reviews and opinions of others and go find some. :D

Nice bottle ar Ladyface. ABV 9.5%, IBU 65. No bottle date.

Pours a nice deep orange color, not fully opaque. Not too much head or lace.

Malt and grapefruit. Slight hop bitterness. Well balanced.

Again, bitter and slightly citrusy with a lot of malt. Very fast but slightly 1-dimensional.

Nice body , nothing that stands out but not much needs to be changed.

A fantastic DIPA that makes it a difficult task trying to find who can compete. I have had this on tap and from the bottle and they are both great when fresh. Fruity almost perfect nose...and for a DIPA at 9.5%, it hides the alcohol very well...no usual heavy DIPA alcohol hit at the end...this DIPA drinks so easy, it can sneak up on you if you have two...beautiful.

Clear, golden and lively draft 12oz pour at BJs in Folsom - smell to die for, resinous hops and citrus / tropical fruit to the fore. Tastes awesome (after warming up a little - bit on the cold side when served). Was less oily than anticipated, and the alcohol was well hidden; this is a really nice, lively but smooth IPA.

Poured from a bomber dated 2/23/27 so just over a month old. It pours a nice golden orange color into my tulip glass, slightly cloudy. The nose hits you hard as soon as you start the pour. Dank aromas combined with tropical fruit are very strong. The taste is strong towards the tropical fruit with the hoppy flavor pulling through the more you drink. The mouthfeel is good with nice carbonation. This is a really great DIPA in my book. Coming in at 9.5% ABV it doesn't drink like it is that strong. In that line I'm glad I don't have a second on because as good as this one is I would to drink it now.

Poured from a 22-ounce bottle, dated 1/9/17, a clear gold under a solid one-inch thick white head which fades slowly and leaves nice puzzle lace. Aroma is the most amazing weed-like thing I've ever smelt, with dankness herbal and tropical notes. Flavor has hop-bomb written all over, resiny and oily, citrus and tropical fruits, boozy warmth. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Finishes bitter with a pithy grapefruit finish. Blindingly good, this KMA (kicked my ass).

12oz can served in a snifter. Don't see a date. Bought it at Jane's in Sunnyvale, brought it home in a suitcase.

Pours clear golden with a biggish white head, fades to nice lacing. Lots of slow, fine carbonation. Smell is super fruit juicy. Very tropical.

Taste is again super fruit juicy, very sweet, but with a heavy bitter finish.

Mouthfeel is thick and sticky. Just enough effervescence. Overall, quite a nice beer.

Pours a clear dark gold/amber color with frothy white head leaving plenty of bubbly lacing. Nose is a citrusy ,resiny aroma of deliciousness. Taste follows with a bit of sweet malt and a nice bitterness appropriate for the style. Abv is well hidden. This is my go to beer from Track 7.

Deep golden orange. Clear. Solid lacing. Frothy head. Could smell citrus as soon as I opened the bottle. Definitely a solid west coast DIPA. Very approachable malt backbone for a DIPA. Sometimes the maltiness in doubles can deter me, but this was solid and provided a nice base for the hops to play off. Good stuff.

Bottled on 1/25/16.

Pours a hazy golden-orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thin rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus juice, citrus zest, and tropical fruit aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and tropical fruit flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with a great mix of citrus and tropical hop characteristics that are especially good in the smell.

Serving type: bottle.

Bottling date of 01/25/16

Appearance - Pours slightly hazy and golden orange in color with an off-white, finger width head. Sub-par retention, resulting in a thin, broken layer of surface suds. Lacing consists of broken rings and a few spots here and there.

Smell - Simply wonderful aroma. Fresh citrus notes of orange, with lesser grapefruit and pineapple. Distant pine.

Taste - Flavor flips the script from the nose. Mostly pine with lesser notes of sweet orange, grapefruit and a touch of pineapple. Faint, wavering mango note. Malt backbone is mostly generic white bread with a hint of toast. Finishes with more pine and moderate pith bitterness.

Mouthfeel - Full-bodied with low, tingly carbonation. Slightly syrupy, with a semi-dry finish.

Overall - This is a solid all-around DIPA. The aroma got me excited, but the pine-forward flavor was a bit out of my wheelhouse. Maybe it's psychosomatic, but anything with this much pine tends to aggravate my sinuses. I can feel the pressure build behind my eyes. I digress. Despite my personal issues, this is a hell of a beer.

Update: drinking straight from the can (main review done from the 22oz bomber poured into glass) makes a big difference. The pine/citrus hop combo is more even keeled and the malts exhibit more caramel character. +.25 to taste, and this is definitely my preferred method of drinking this beer. Thanks T7 for putting it into cans!
