Disappointed with this one. Maybe a bad batch. It has a tropical hoppy nose...taste follows somewhat but lacks depth and character for my palate. Not a go to for me...

after hearing a ton about the beers these guys make, especially the hoppy ones, its awesome to get to drink one for the first time. this is another citra and mosaic combination i have to think, maybe some others in the mix as well, but its not all that unique to me in terms of aroma and flavor, like everyone puts citra and mosaic together now, and this is just somebody doing it a little better than most others. there is a little more tropicality to this, a little more sweet grape and pineapple, a little more vegetal and oily, southern hemisphere, probably a couple other hops in here, but its citra and mosaic that lead the way. the success for me here is how forward and fresh they are, almost more intense than they normally are, right up front, and bold in the flavor too, not just in the finish. i like the malt base here, it has an interesting wheaty sort of dry earthy cereal vibe to it thats pleasant with the hops and not invisible, as well as much drier than i am used to in the stronger ipa types. its smooth in feel, juicy in flavor, and rather drinkable for what it is. i feel like this is where the style is going now, and we lose some uniqueness when everyone uses the same hops the same way, but i like the grain standing up a little more here, i like the nuances between the citra and mosaic lines, and i like the freshness and overall quality here a lot. i hope to get my lips on some more of their ipa next time i am out that way!

Poured uniformly hazy & cloudy light orange with a small head that dissapated immediatly and left pretty much no lacing. Big hop boogers covering the bottom of the glass.

Aroma a nice mix of citrus and tropical fruits with very mild earthy hop notes.

Taste is much fuller than the aroma, juicy with lesser piney hop notes balancing in at the end, delicious all around.

Feel is medium, smooth, no trace of the alcohol at all, easy bitterness, good carbonation, nice and zesty.

Overall, an outstanding hazy. Doesn't have the greatest look, but it makes up for that in every other aspect of this great brew. Really impressed with everything I've tried from Track 7 lately.

Pours cloudy orange-gold with white head and residual lacing.Nose is mild citrus, grass and pine. Taste follows with lots of citrus ,pine and a nice bitterness that lingers on the finish. Juicy and moderately carbonated.

Tasting notes from 11/21/16
Had on-tap@ Final Gravity in Roseville, CA

Appearance - Served up in a 11.5oz snifter with a thin, broken white film that stretches across the surface. The brew itself is heavily hazed, merky I dare say, with a drty golden orange hue.

Smell - Aroma hits on notes of mango, pineapple and passionfruit with lesser orange and pine character.

Taste - Follows the nose. Heavy tropical flavor of mango, passionfruit and some pineapple zing with lesser orange juiciness. A hint of pine hits mid-taste. Quick to the finish, but lingers with a touch of that bitey zing and light pith bitterness.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Slightly chalky finish, but goes down easy enough.

Overall - A pretty damn solid NE-style IPA. Not quite as long lasting as some of it's counterparts, but it's a fantastic flash of flavor while it's there. Given the choice though, I'd take it's lesser sister in Sukahop. There's just more depth in the latter.
