Appearance - Can shaken vigorously, then rested 'a bit' as the per the instructions on the can, but apparently 60 seconds wasn't enough as popping it open produced a gushing wave of bubbles that caused a slight mess as I rushed to virously pour the rest into the awaiting snifter. The tan head peaked at almost a finger's width, then fizzed away quickly to reveal a mostly barren surface. The brew itself is a murky, muddy brown color.
Smell - Creamy peanut butter and chocolatey aroma. This is exactly what you'd expect.
Taste - Follows the nose. Creamy, sweet peanut butter and milk chocolate flavor. A very gentle earthy undertone adds some balance and keeps it from becoming cloying. Simple one-two punch, but damn does it deliver.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with light, tingly bite. Smooth, creamy texture that goes down nice and easy.
Overall - Either this is the only beer I've ever had that's better on nitro than carbonated, or Track 7 has seriously improved upon their recipe since the last time I've had it. I guess I should go grab me a bottle of the regular version to confirm. Great, great dessert beer. It's been my experience that nitro kills flavor, but I'm not really getting that with this one. Their goal was peanut butter cup, and it's totally here in this version!
