an absurd can of beer here, really lucky to be part of this being shared, super unique stuff, a huge base stout done with coconut, molasses, brown sugar, cacao, and vanilla. its desserty sure, but its not sweet and forced and gimmicky, its the kind of delicious i actually want to drink a lot of, and all of these elements come together brilliantly in here. the base beer is exceptional in its own right, which always helps, its deeply roasty, has a slightly sweet chocolate middle, and carries some deep bitterness to it. enormously full bodied as well, palate coating and dense, and with a long and slow fade on the swallow. moderately alcoholic, but i dont mind that here, it seems to enhance some of the added elements, especially the brown sugar and coconut, which gives the beer an almost rum barrel aged character overall. the sweetness of the sugar and the molasses is cool, its nice against the dark malt bitterness and it really beefs this up, an almost baked dessert character in this, especially with the obvious chocolate. the coconut is there, mostly at the end, and is very natural, works well with the other ingredients too. sometimes these have too much vanilla, but not here, it weaves in well without ever really standing out. the combination of all of it is amazing, unique, and memorable for me. the texture is like syrup and quite sweet, but the flavors justify that, and it really works on many levels. super impressive beer, hard to come by at this point i assume, and just a real special one to share with new friends. a beer highlight of this month for sure!

Canned 8/10/19, consumed 8/31/19

This is a tasty dessert-like stout that's the best value around for sure at $6/can.

On draft in a snifter. Pours black. Smell is potent, chocolate and cinnamon primarily. Taste is A1. Cinnamon upfront with chocolate following. Vanilla aftertaste. Coconut is there after. Mouth feel is full bodied but not slick like some RIS can be. Overall this is one of the best imperial stouts ive had in a long time. Highly recommended

Pours an inky black color with thin brown head leaving a thin ring of bubbly lacing. Nose is subtle sweetness with hints of brown sugar ,vanilla, cacao nibs, coconut and coffee. Taste follows almost exactly. This is outstanding ,tilting toward the sweet side. 12% abv is stealthily disguised.Probably not for everyone but I love it. Track 7 is arguably putting out some of the best beer in Sacramento, if not all of CA.
