Appearance - Served up in a 16oz snifter, dark, clear and almost chestnut in color with a hint of ruby and a pinkish, consistent layer of suds across the surface. Consistent webbing and and small spots make up the lacing. 4
Smell - Moderate tart grape and faint, faint wheat with light salinity.
Taste - Wow is that tart! Sour grape, and is that a hint of salinity? Fair sugary sweetness. Ghostly trace of wheat? Not much else, but damn is it tasty.
Mouthfeel - Light-bodied with sharp, bitey carbonation. Finishes quick with a crisp, dry and refreshing end.
Overall - I missed out on the red, blue and watermelon, but I'm glad I didn't miss out on 'grape drank'. This is fantastic, and brings back early childhood memories when playing outside inĀ the sun meant cooling off with a glass of kool-aid from the fridge. If you love sour grape, this beer will not disappoint.
