Pours ... well ... amber with a foamy, light tan head.
Malty, bready nose.
Crisp, with hints of citrus and a goodly amount of maltiness.
Has a nice sweet malty slightly bitter finish.
I love Amber's and this one is especially good. This is only available on tap and in 22 oz. bombers ... probably a good thing as I think I could polish off a six pack with no problems.

Appearance - Pours slightly hazy and copper in color with a light khaki, near two-finger width head. Great retention, resulting in a thin, broken layer of suds and a fair ring of suds around the edge of the glass. Strong lacing, with some broken sheeting, lines that dance around the glass and some spotting here and there.

Smell - Notes of caramel and toasted bread with hints of floral and citrus hoppiness.

Taste - True to the nose. Malts hit first, hitting on caramel, toastiness and light buttery toffee before a bit of floral and citrus hop character add some balance. Some honey in there somewhere. Bittersweet finish, finishing with much of the aforementioned flavors, but most prominent are toasted malt, floral character and a touch of citrus pith.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Slick texture upfront, then turns dry in the finish. Drinks well enough.

Overall - A pretty damn solid American Amber. Really nice balance. Classic brew; nothing that breaks new ground, but very well executed. Typical bomber price; I'd be more inclined to buy it more often if it were offered in a more economical six-pack.

A: Moderately low hop aroma, with a moderately high maltiness with strong caramel notes.

A: Amber color, totally clear, with a moderate head that has solid retention, light lacing in the glass.

T: Moderately malty, with a deep caramel, light fruitiness and sweetness, followed by a moderately low citrusy hop flavor.

M: Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation.

O: Very good; the beer is clean, though leans toward malts. It could be even tastier with a slightly more assertive hop presence (while retaining some maltiness).

Bottled on 4/29/15.

Pours a murky dark reddish-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, caramel, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, earth, caramel, and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of earth and hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a nice mix of caramel and citrus hop characteristics that is slightly better in the smell to me.

Serving type: bottle.

Poured a finger of head on a clear, but dark amber colored body.
The aroma is a strong lemon and orange smell blend. Pretty good.
The taste is moderately bitter moving to a sharp bitter finish. There is a burnt malt note at the very end too, which makes for an interesting finish.
The texture is soft and bubbly with moderate carbonation.
I like it, it's a bit different that most amber ales.

Heavy looking amber with it's dark chocolate color. Thick 2finger nice lacing. sticky yellowish head retention. Taste boozy and hoppy for an amber. Starts with a sweet malty flavors and finished with a bite of hops.Heavy body And mouthfeel, with a slight dry bite at the end. Overall a decent amber for bbq/smoked meats/spicy foods.
