Nose was a little faint...had to really search for it. Piney and hoppy notes on the nose and taste. Crisp and clean with a bitter finish from the IBUs. Slight tropical notes on this one, but still a really good entry into TIPAs from Track 7.

From the 02/03/18 can release

Appearance - Pours crystal clear and bright orange in color with an off-white, half finger width head. Fair retention before peeling back to a mostly barren surface and a thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass. Some broken lines and a handful of spots make up the lacing.

Smell - Strong citrusy and tropical notes with lesser dankness. Hint of white, bready sweetness.

Taste - Follows the nose. Clean, juicy orange and lesser pineapple character upfront and throughout. Hints of grapefruit and pine. Faint white bread sweetness. Clean aftertaste with a trace of fruity sweetness.

Mouthfeel - Full-bodied with moderate, tingly carbonation. Smooth, slick and slightly sticky texture with a refreshing, dry and faintly boozy finish.

Overall - This is a prime example of a great West Coast 3x IPA. It's got everything you look for. Clean but assertive flavor, and smooth despite the high ABV. It's up there with some of the better ones I've had. As a Metallica themed brew, I think it's only appropriate to tell you to 'seek and destroy'.

Pours a clear pale yellow akin to a lot of other Xipa's. Nose is not overwhelmingly hoppy as it should be , still quite nice. Taste is well balanced between malt and hops, the abv well hidden. For a 3xIPA - nicely done .

Very nice balance of hoppiness and bitterness in the front end. The follow through is a bit too sweet. Overall; an exceptional triple IPA. If this beer could maintain the hoppy/bitter taste throughout, it would rival The Younger.

Gold with a white head. Sweet malt and dank tropical hops dominate the nose. Palate is overtaken by dank and resinous hop bitterness with some sweet malt backbone and lots of tropical fruit and stone fruit. A well done triple IPA. Not boozy and doesn't go too far towards being a hoppy blond barleywine.
