Had on tap. Shimmering black pour with a tan cap. This strikes me more as odd than anything else. Starting with the feel actually, it is massive for a porter, not too thick though, roast and smooth malts run this, barrel is limited. This theme echoes in smell and taste with the smoked wood leading but then super sweet marshmallow and vanilla blip onto the radar, only to be melted away but the smoke, earth, and wood again. Again not bad, but not sure what the goal of this set up is supposed to be, pastry smoked beer?
